1983 USA Gibson Challenger 2. in Bathgate, North Lanarkshire for sale

1980's Gibson Challenger 2. Mahogany body, bolt-on Maple neck and Ebony fretboard. Great, vastly under-rated Les Paul-style guitar from Gibson USA. Just starting to become collectable. This one is not totally original- I have been informed it has upgraded pickups (the classic Seymour Duncan JB/59 set.) These simply nail classic Les Paul tones when fitted to this guitar... Well worth it for the reportedly massive improvement in tone. Great classic rock guitar with very comfortable neck and plenty life left in the frets. Good quality Schaller bridge. Plus it has a light weight- body- unlike most Les Pauls! It just feels "right". All electrics work fine. Appearance-wise, this guitar has been played regularly for all of its 31 years, so has numerous scuffs and small dings: nothing major- but absolutely NOT a case-queen! It is genuinely road-worn rather than abused and in real life the colour is like a red Gibson SG, which I don't think my camera captures well... Whatever this "mojo" thing actually is- this guitar has it lol! So: A genuinely collectable classic American Gibson guitar for less than the price of a modern used Studio model...? Can only go up in value- and you can use it without worrying about putting a ding in it! Will throw in an old but useful gigbag for it too. I'm selling only to downsize- so no swaps please. Hopefully this great guitar will move on to someone who will play it regularly.
